1980: Los Angeles Lakers rookie PG Magic Johnson filled in for the injured Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at Center and recorded an NBA Finals rookie record of 42 points during the Lakers’ defeat of the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 6 to clinch the NBA Title
