2005: San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson broke the NFL record for the most consecutive GP (13) with a RUSH TD during a 2-TD performance vs. Denver. Tomlinson would extend the record to 18 straight games that still stands today and tied the NFL record for consecutive GP (18) with any kind of TD 

1996: Boston Red Sox SP Roger Clemens tied his own MLB record by striking out 20 batters in a 4-0 victory over the Tigers. Kerry Wood, Randy Johnson, and Max Scherzer have also reached 20 Ks in 1 game, but Clemens is the only player to do so multiple times in their career

1993: Trailing the Boston Red Sox 3-1 in the 9th inning, New York Yankees C Mike Stanley hit a pop fly for the final out, but a fan had run onto the field just before the pitch, forcing umpire Tim Welke to call a timeout; the out was restored, and New York rallied for 3 runs to win the game

1992: Pittsburgh Pirates OF Barry Bonds reached the 30 HR-30 steal milestone for the 2nd time in his career, joining Willie Mays, Howard Johnson, Ron Gant, and his father (Bobby Bonds) as the only players to accomplish the feat in multiple seasons

1987: Detroit Tigers 1B Darrell Evans became the 1st 40-year-old in MLB history to hit 30 home runs

1984: Montreal Expos OF Tim Raines became the very 1st player in MLB history to record 4 consecutive seasons with 70+ stolen bases

1984: The Detroit Tigers became just the 4th team in MLB history to stay in 1st place from opening day to the very end of the season (1923 New York Giants, 1927 New York Yankees, 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers)

1983: After 16 seasons in the NFL, the New Orleans Saints finally secured their 1st OT victory in franchise history by defeating the Bears 34-31
