Wilt Chamberlain made his NBA debut with the Philadelphia Warriors in 1959, and from the moment he entered the league, it was clear that he was a phenomenal player. The Kansas product was named MVP four times and won two championship titles over the course of his career, setting countless statistical records in the process. As a highly talented scorer and rebounder, Chamberlain dominated the league year in and year out and is widely considered to be among the best basketball players ever.

WILT CHAMBERLAIN IS THE MOST DOMINANT PLAYER IN NBA HISTORY

To say that Wilt Chamberlain had an illustrious professional basketball career would be an understatement. The former track and field athlete made an immediate impact in the NBA by winning Rookie of the Year, going on to earn 13 All-Star selections and seven 1st-Team All-NBA honors over 14 seasons. He even had his #13 retired by all three franchises he played for, which is a testament to his incredible consistency and success. Chamberlain’s combination of sheer athleticism and dominance was ahead of his time.

The most impressive part of the Big Dipper’s career, however, was actually his absurd statistical achievements. He currently owns the NBA record for the most points scored in a single game with 100, and he is the only player to average 30+ points and 20+ rebounds over his entire career. These offensive feats will likely never be matched in the near future, even with the high-powered scoring in today’s game, firmly cementing Chamberlain’s status as the most dominant player to ever play in the NBA.
