Sunday Night Football was one for the books as another primetime game has more than lived up to the hype in the 2021 NFL season. It looked like the loaded Kansas City Chiefs were going to run away with the win, but Baltimore’s defense forced the first INT in Patrick Mahomes‘ career during September (previously 37 TD to 0 INT) and everything changed from there. Lamar Jackson made some electric plays to get the Ravens back in it and came through with some clutch conversions to cap off his biggest regular season win yet.

  • Lamar Jackson became the 1st player with multiple career GP of 100+ RUSH YDS/2+ RUSH TD/1+ PASS TD since 1950
  • Lamar is the only QB with multiple career GP of 100+ RUSH YDS & 2+ RUSH TD since the NFL merger
  • Most GP with 100+ RUSH YDS by a QB ever: 1. Michael Vick (10) out of 143 GP, 2. Lamar Jackson (9) out of 48 GP
  • Kansas City Chiefs do not hold at least a share of the lead in the AFC West for the 1st time since Week 16 in 2016
  • Lamar has the most career GP (9) with 100+ PASS YDS & 100+ RUSH YDS in NFL history, surpassing Michael Vick (8)
  • Travis Kelce has become the fastest TE (113 GP) to record 8,000 career REC YDS in NFL history

Odds vs. KC: BAL +170 (Spread +3.5)

IT TOOK THE BEST GAME OF LAMAR JACKSON’S CAREER TO BEAT PATRICK MAHOMES

COLORS KEY | FULL RAVENS OUTLOOK

It seems crazy to consider a former NFL MVP QB’s best career game one that included two interceptions, but Lamar Jackson’s second-half showing and ability to lead the Ravens over the vaunted Chiefs solidifies this historic performance as his best career game to this point considering the magnitude. It looked like it could’ve been the complete opposite after a miserable first drive that went from an overthrown 70-yd TD to an INT-TD within one play. Tyrann Mathieu then picked off Jackson once again.

Despite the first half adversity, Lamar came out firing in the second half. His jump throw TD was something fans have only seen Patrick Mahomes do before. That huge play sparked the comeback victory that was capped off with some clutch conversions on 3rd down and Lamar sealing the deal with his legs on 4th & 1. On the bright side for Chiefs fans, it took ALL THIS to beat Mahomes AT HOME. A rare September INT, rookies making big plays including a huge FF, and Lamar playing the best game of his NFL life.
