June 9th, 2022 was highlighted by the Twins hitting back-to-back-to-back homers off of Yanks ace Gerrit Cole to start the game in NYY’s 10-7 win. Shohei’s two-way excellence (7 IP, 1 ER; HR, 2 RBI) took over for the Angels as they finally ended their 14-game losing streak with Mike Trout still sidelined, while Josh Rojas’ two-run single capped a four-run ninth for AZ as they beat Cincinnati in comeback fashion. The Cardinals also made one of the funkiest outs at first base in baseball history with a 1-unassisted on Kiermaier’s infield single.

See what happened in sports on June 9th last year, headlined by CP3‘s masterful 17-point, 15-assist outing leading Phoenix to another blowout win against the Jamal Murray-less Nuggets, Rudy Gobert being awarded his third Defensive Player of the Year in four years, Jake Fraley turning a potential walk-off HR into a double play as well as what happened in sports on June 9th, 2020 ft. Todd Gurley officially going home to Atlanta and the MLBPA agreeing to a July 10th opening day.
