Most baseball fans don’t want to see it, but the Houston Astros are in the 2021 World Series. Houston just defeated the Boston Red Sox in six games to win the pennant. The biggest reason for their success is their terrific lineup, which has produced all postseason with two outs. The Astros have a stacked lineup that is as deep as any team in the MLB.

Two-out hitting is difficult since the opposition only has to get one more out to end the inning, and one pitch can end a team’s rally. For the Astros, it seems that they’re at their best when there are two outs in the inning. Led by one of the most clutch postseason hitters of all time in Carlos Correa and a breakout star with Yordan Alvarez, the Astros put together a series to remember in the ALCS and are on pace to record the most 2-out Runs in MLB Postseason history.
